Welcome to Miami

Well what can I say last week I managed at the last min to join a group of friends in Miami to celebrate my childhood friend's birthday. After slagging my Virgin airmiles off because it seemed I could do nothing with them..nearly set fire to the damn card I received an email advertising a Miami seat sale and I was on my way.

Cheryl Cole "Say my name" promo picture

Hi All,

Been a long time I know!!! I promise to update my blog regularly from now on as I got told off by a marketing colleague of mine yesterday. Cheryl Cole the ex Girls Aloud band member and X factor host recently shot the promo pictures for her new single "Call my name" in one of my Interiors. Hello all? So excited.... The fabulous Nick Lee and his team at Niche PR gained their largest ever feature for my company Interior Desires in the prestigious world-wide selling interiors quarterly, The White Book Issue 16. SoHo clean-up

Today is make or break day...Sicis mosaic boards have arrived and they are looking rather glamorous already, just leaning against the walls and I can already visualise the crowds of people standing by the bar with their reflections filling the gold copper coloured shimmery tiles that fill the space with glamour.
My intern has learnt a great deal this morning; she must have learnt by now that all the lessons she was taught in University get thrown out of the window when you have your back against the wall. Although my lovely Lebanese joiner is absolutely brilliant, he is a control freak “Giorgio Armani never likes other peoples work”.

Soho 4:30 a.m Start...Good Coffee a Must!

Cleaning up someone else’s work is always a dirty job. But sometimes we need to be pushed because everything can be made a little bit more beautiful.
A few weeks ago I was called upon for an emergency operation, of a restaurant in Soho that was in need of a face lift...the owner felt that the restaurant was lacking, and perhaps the original idea had not been executed well.

Christmas around the corner

Christmas is around the corner and it seems London has been awash with tourists and out-of- towners all visiting to get a glimpse of the city at Christmas. Others are simply here to do their Christmas shopping for their special ones. This is a time to reflect on how lucky us Londoners are.

World's Most expensive streets

 For the Property Aficionados...

Avenue Princesse Grace is the most expensive street in the world to buy property, where $120,000 (€84,985) will purchase just one square metre of prime real estate, according to a survey by Wealth Bulletin. Prime residential property on the top 10 most expensive streets in the world saw their overall value fall by 12% in the last year, the survey found, with European streets faring better than their US and emerging markets counterparts. That compares with price falls of between 20% to 30% in mainstream property prices in London and New York over the same period.

Hello All,
I'm officially not a blog virgin anymore. As some of you might know, I'm a London based Interior designer and I will be posting my thoughts not only on design related topics but also my personal interests such as travelling, fashion, dining and espresso ratings ( Yes I like to think of myself as a coffee expert).
