The Ideal Client

There are no great designers, only great clients Christian Liaigre
I often get asked by colleagues “who is your ideal client?” As designers we often long for the day that we meet the perfect client who understands our creativity and truly trusts us to deliver the perfect interiors without any interference.  Giving designers complete carte blanche on a project is not always a good thing as even the most seasoned designers need a little guidance.
But just like our eternal search for a perfect soul mate, we feel there is someone out there who truly understands our ways of thinking and can vibe with us on our thoughts and ideas.  To finally answer the question, my ideal client would surprisingly be a man/ woman in the 35-50 age bracket who has a personal quirky fashion sense and is dangerous, naughty and willing to take a risk. The kind of client who would prefer to rock an Anya Hindmarch or an offbeat designer bag over a classic Hermes Birkin because they prefer not to follow the crowd. For me individuality and single-mindedness are the key ingredients in forming a successful working relationship.

Love
Rebecca
